CBC posted an article on their website about the General Motors layoffs in Oshawa. The readers’ comments are off the mark and self centred to say the least. They need to take off their inherent blinders.
Fine I say…But what about the lack of action on the Federal Government to Halt the Oil Companies Hi-Jacking North America?
This article appeared in the CBC website (CLICK HERE FOR FULL ARTICLE) and 197 readers have commented. After reading the first bunch I couldn’t believe the people who have missed the mark. They continually blame the worker for being greedy, seeking high wages and working in a truck plant. The workers go to work each day to support their families. If there is an attack, why not attack the right source of the real problem: the guzzling, greedy, oil executives.
Do yourself and all of us today a favour: WRITE YOUR FEDERAL MP TO LODGE A COMPLAINT ABOUT THE EXCESSIVE COSTS OF GASOLINE AND WHAT IT WILL DO TO SOCIETY, NEVER MIND THE SHUTTING DOWN OF TRUCK PLANTS…THAT IS ONLY THE BEGINNING.
I wrote 2 comments in that CBC article on their website. I am not sure if they will post them, but here is a copy of my second comment to the other readers:
“All too many here have missed the mark. The blame is not the worker; the blame lies elsewhere. You seem too quick to criticize “greedy” workers for not seeing this crisis coming. Albeit, you make no mention of the GM execs who make the the planning decisions. But let us dig a tad deeper here and gouge out the real culprits. How about the massive profits the oil executives are extracting from the North American pocket books? Are they not taking this continent hostage with the high fuel costs. Sure we see the first stage: the shutting down truck plants, but hang on folks, the worst is yet to come and then who will you blame in a forum such as this. Yes, it is a sad day, a day when fellow workers begin knocking each other and miss the mark. Do something constructive like complain to an MP as I have done: http://tinyurl.com/645wnu”
